By fostering, you give a dog a chance at a new life and you make a huge difference!  Sarah's Treasures Rescue is a foster based rescue, meaning that we rely solely on foster homes for our dogs.  Our foster families will be happy to tell you that it is amazing to know that you made a difference and it's an emotional journey to see the dog head off to their new forever home!  Sarah's Treasures Rescue happily pays for all supplies needed and takes care of food/vet expenses -- you simply provide the love, training, and time for your foster dog!

Fostering is a life changing experience, but it's not for everyone.  We need foster homes that are serious in helping us and that are willing to communicate effectively.  Fostering can be difficult, and some foster dogs will have "Baggage" and need more training or time.  All of our foster families are required to complete an application, have references checked, and a home visit completed.

We rely on kind-hearted people choosing to help us by fostering in order to continue to rescue/save dogs.  Many of our dogs come in as strays from the reservation or they are transferred to us from a high kill pound/shelter or sometimes just from another rescue needing help.  We also occasionally receive owner surrenders if we have a foster home willing to step up and help us out.
